Food is also important for the instructors and candidates. It’s the bottom rung of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs in adult educational theory and NICHE learnt early on about the importance of good food on a course in encouraging effective learning (and teaching)
The handwashing session as well as the kalafong wrap to encourage skin to skin/ kangaroo mother care was really popular.
The skin to skin practical workshop – always a favourite (especially among the men 🙂 )
